Shirley Solis, born in Ecuador, has recently been named the “International Mom at Home” because of her passion to introduce other cultures to families in the United States. Along with her husband of twenty years, Gus, and six children, the Solis family travel extensively with their family business, Lifetime Books and Gifts.

Shirley is a much sought-after speaker at homeschooling conferences across the United States. She is the creator of the program Building Character with Your Children. She is author of Not Just Tacos, A Journey into the World of Authentic Latin American Cuisine cookbook, and creator of the Learning Shower Series. The Solis family makes their home in Homestead, Florida.
